This week, we caught up with the Taurus team, which recently raised $10M in series A funding. We spoke with Managing Partner Lamine Brahimi, who answered questions on what Taurus is working on, what needs to be done to bolster institutional adoption of blockchain protocols, and the future of the Tezos Foundation – Taurus Group collaboration.
This week, the Bitcoin Association Switzerland (BAS) announced the launch of tzBTC, a token on the Tezos blockchain that is backed 1:1 by Bitcoin. tzBTC has been an extremely successful organic collaboration between a wide range of teams – many of whom are participating in the Tezos ecosystem for the first time.

Today, the Tezos Foundation and the other defendants have entered into a settlement, subject to court approval, of all putative class action lawsuits, all of which are pending in California state and federal courts.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread around the globe, our hearts go out to the many people all across the world who have been affected in one way or another. We are monitoring the situation closely, particularly as it pertains to global asset deterioration, and we can assure you that the Foundation is well-prepared with sufficient funds to continue executing on its priorities despite the global downturn.
